You’ll enjoy the fresh mountain air and several stops to admire the landscape and snap beautiful photos.
Stop 1 : Volubilis – The Roman City
Your first main stop is the ancient Roman site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkably preserved archaeological site features the Arch of Caracalla, the Basilica, and the Capitoline Temple, along with stunning mosaic floors that still remain in place. You’ll have time to walk the site and take in the historical grandeur of this once-thriving Roman city.
Stop 2 : Moulay Idriss Zerhoun – Sacred Heritage
Next, head to the nearby town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, one of Morocco’s most sacred Islamic towns. This picturesque hillside town was founded by Moulay Idriss I, the great-grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the founder of the first Moroccan Islamic dynasty. Explore its narrow whitewashed alleys, admire the green-tiled pyramid of the mausoleum, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

Known for its massive gates, grand architecture, and royal history, Meknes offers a blend of Moroccan and European styles. Visit landmarks like the Royal Palace, Bab Mansour, Bab El-Khemis, and the old medina. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and take time to explore the city’s rich heritage.
