A day trip to the Ourika Valley from Marrakech is about 1 hour from Marrakech. It takes you far away from the noise of Marrakech and offers a scenic escape into the Atlas Mountains, featuring lush landscapes, refreshing waterfalls in Setti Fatma, and traditional Berber villages.

Day 1 – Marrakech – Tnin Ourika – Aghbalou – Setti Fatma – Marrakech

Your private  day trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley starts in the morning by picking you up from your accommodation in Marrakech and heading to the Atlas Mountains to start a nice journey to the lush Valley. This place is an actual haven of peace & tranquility. It’s here the beauty of nature is what you can only enjoy and appreciate.

After a short drive out of Marrakech, the High Atlas Mountains can be easily seen from afar. The mountains stand like a high wall dividing the southern part of Morocco from its northern. The first village you can visit is Tahanaout village, especially if it coincides with Monday as the weekly traditional Souk (market) takes place here.

After that, you’ll visit a local Berber house offering the opportunity to learn about the lifestyle of the Berbers residing in the mountains. It’s also possible to share a fresh mint tea with them. You’ll have the chance to take lots of pictures as the landscapes and the views are outstanding.

Once you arrive to the Setti Fatma Village, which marks the end of our drive. You may want to opt for having a short hike up to the beautiful waterfalls. You’ll then culminate the journey with a delicious lunch served by the ever-flowing river of Ourika under the sunlight.

In the late afternoon, you’ll drive back to Marrakech.
